Wandering Wonder | GMTK GJ 2024
Another friday and the executive just wanted the clock to strike six. His desk was a well-organized chaos: stacks of documents, graphs, and empty coffee cups. He had spent the day immersed in numbers, projections, and endless meetings. Now, with his head full of figures and his back aching, he longed to get home and unplug. With a sigh, he turned off his computer and headed for the door, ready to dive into traffic and forget, at least for a few hours, the corporate world.
As he grabbed his coat, his eyes fell on a half-empty energy drink on his desk. With what little energy he had left, he popped the top and took a swig. The taste was faintly familiar—and vaguely metallic. Checking the expiration date, he winced. Months past its prime. But hey, desperate times called for desperate measures.
